The newly inaugurated Governor of Sokoto State, Dr Ahmad Aliyu, has made a series of decisions, including the nullification of recent appointments made by former Governor Aminu Tambuwal after March 19, 2023. According to the statement released by the press secretary, Aliyu Abubakar Bawa, the governor has suspended the recent appointments of Traditional Rulers made by his predecessor. The statement mentioned that the renaming of Tertiary Institutions in the State and the appointments related to their Governing Councils and relocations have been reversed. Furthermore, Governor Aliyu has issued a directive for the immediate revocation of land allocations made by Tambuwal during his tenure.
