Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with the federal government.
Abiodun who spoke during his unscheduled visit to the state secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Iweiroyin in Abeokuta, the state capital, revealed that the apex government was not oblivious to the pains Nigerians were experiencing, saying there can be no gains without pains.
He noted that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration is working assiduously to ensure it fulfils all programmes as encapsulated in the renewed Hope manifesto.
Governor Abiodun promised that his government would build a Journalists’ Estate that would serve as a befitting and affordable residence for media practitioners in the state, saying that the estate would be built close to the proposed workers’ estate that his administration would build.
Speaking earlier, the State NUJ Chairman, Comrade Olanrewaju assured the governor of the union’s support, while appealing to Governor Abiodun to ensure that his media team are thorough-bred professionals. Olarenwaju who also commended the Governor for the visit, said that he is a man of his word.
