Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and other indigenes of Ikenne Local Government have welcomed former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo after completing eight years as the second-in-command to his principal, Muhammadu Buhari.

During the public thanksgiving and appreciation reception organised in honour of Osinbajo by the Ikenne Development Association, Governor Abiodun described the former vice-president as a man of impeccable character, whose eight years, he said, engendered positive development to the entire country.

He narrated that Osinbajo’s trail-blazing records in good governance and public administration were inherited from the former Premier of Western Region, Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, adding that Osinbajo had raised the bar while commending him for his unwavering loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Responding, Osinbajo thanked Nigerians for appreciating his contributions to the growth of the nation during his days in office.
