
Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have started preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Head coach John Keister’s men had their first training session ahead of the game at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, Monrovia and announced a 38-man squad for the crucial clash this week. The gaffer is expected to prune down the squad to a sizeable number next week. Sierra Leone occupies the third position in Group A of the qualifiers with four points from three games and must beat the Super Eagles to keep alive their hopes of making it to Cote d’Ivoire 2023. The Super Eagles top the standings with nine points from the same number of matches.
